Date: 2015-09-13 01:06 am (UTC)What is your full name?
Date: 2015-09-13 01:08 am (UTC)Where and when were you born?
Date: 2015-09-13 01:10 am (UTC)Who are/were your parents?
Date: 2015-09-13 01:20 am (UTC)My mother’s an apple farmer, just like the rest of her family have been since those trees were planted three hundred years ago. Boy are they big now! Nowadays my two brothers have taken over the actual land management and Ma looks after the grandkids, but back in the day she’d tie her skirts round her hips and shimmy up those trees to rattle the apples into her basket by hand.
My father was a cooper: that’s a barrel maker for those not up on their lingo. He and my mother met when he was a wet-eared apprentice visiting the farm to help deliver barrels to my grandfather. It was love at first sight - well, something at first sight, since my elder brother was born nine months later! He was a bit of a slacker when he was younger but my mother whipped him into shape- don’t ask me if that was literally too! Anyway, by the time I was old enough to know what was going on they’d found a good trade together, him making the barrels for our farm and for the neighbours. I don’t think his craftsmaster was too impressed by him sniping up the trade.
Pa passed on five years ago. He’s buried under a sapling. Ma likes to make a pie from his apples for his birthday. Morbid, I know, but she's always been the practical one, and she says it'd be a shame to let those apples go to waste.
Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like?
Date: 2015-09-13 01:21 am (UTC)Randell
Date: 2015-09-13 02:05 am (UTC)Compared to me, Randell's far more staid, but I've never been an average person. He's still a loud-mouth who loves a drink down the tavern with his friends, but he's also serious about keeping the orchard going strong for his grandkids.
He's actually the only one of us who've got grandkids, at least until Rosie's boys start spreading their wild oats. He had my niece, Annette, when he was twenty and she's got three kids of her own now: a four year old terror and twin one-year olds. I don't envy her one bit, but at Randell and Ma's there to help corral them too!
Reggie
Date: 2015-09-13 02:16 am (UTC)Family-wise, he's in a funk after splitting up with his partner last year. I drag him up to the city as often as I can so he gets the chance to cut loose and have some fun, but he's decided he's too old to be sleeping about willy nilly and wants to find someone to make him a forever home. That's where he and I don't see eye to eye, but I'm keeping an eye out on his behalf.

Date: 2015-09-13 02:20 am (UTC)Where do you live now, and with whom? Describe the place and the person/people.
Date: 2015-09-13 02:21 am (UTC)I've got a shop slap bang in the middle of the red light district, on the corner of the junction between River Street and Horsway. It's a fantastic spot for business, but I'm right next to the biggest brothel in town, so it's noisy as hell at night.
'But Roger,' I hear you saying, 'Why do you care how noisy it is at night?' Well that's because I live in the apartments above my store! It's a split apartment containing my craft rooms, a private consultation room and the actual living rooms, complete with a little attic room where my apprentice sleeps. Ahh, the fond memories I've got of up there! Nostalgia, however, isn't half as comfortable to sleep on as a proper bed.
My biggest bugbear is that I don't actually own my store. All the land and buildings are owned by the lord of our town, Lord Dimbledun, and he point blank refuses to sell my plot to me no matter how good an offer I make, the bastard.
What is your occupation?
Date: 2015-09-13 02:30 am (UTC)I own my store and I employ two shop assistants, Clara and Manda and an apprentice, though Clara's been hinting lately that she wants to do more than just sell my wares. I haven't decided yet if I want to train two people at once; dicksmithing's an intense craft.
Write a full physical description of yourself
Date: 2015-09-13 02:31 am (UTC)I’m thin but I have an ass on me. That’s the only place I’ve got a scar- an arrow hole from a disgruntled potential customer who didn’t like my sales pitch. I’ve got some muscle from lifting blocks of wood and stone but I can’t pretend that I’m any sort of superwoman.
Dress-wise, I prefer shirts, waistcoats and trousers with double-breasted openings at the front. Despite my trade I prefer being fully covered.
To which social class do you belong?
Date: 2015-09-13 02:36 am (UTC)Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses?
Date: 2015-09-13 02:36 am (UTC)Are you right- or left-handed?
Date: 2015-09-13 02:37 am (UTC)What does your voice sound like?
Date: 2015-09-13 02:40 am (UTC)Some people call me loud, but they don't understand that when your life depends on bringing in customers it's important to make yourself stand out from the crowd. Since I can't haul a stool around with me I project my voice.
Other than that it's a voice. I'm not squeaky but no one's going to mistake me for a man when I'm speaking. I sound just as perky as I feel :D
What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently?
Date: 2015-09-13 02:40 am (UTC)What do you have in your pockets?
Date: 2015-09-13 02:42 am (UTC)Working from the inside out:
In the right-side pocket of my waistcoat I have a cigarette tin with six clove cigarettes inside, and a box of matches.
In the left breast pocket of my waistcoat I've got my pocket watch. It's a fantastic timepiece, very elegant, with a little couple fucking away in time with the seconds. I commissioned it especially!
Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics?
Date: 2015-09-13 02:42 am (UTC)I’ll wax eloquent about my trade if I get a chance, and I find a lot of chances.
Whenever I run into someone, my eyes go to a lot of places that aren’t their face ;)
